Aza Hand
Aza Hand is an award winning composer and sound designer with over 15 years experience working across an eclectic mix of feature film, television, animation and advertising. He began his career in film at Ardmore Studios under the mentorship of Patrick Drummond one of Hollywood’s leading sound supervisors and is now based at Egg Studios. Aza’s ongoing commitment and passion is in finding ways to combine sound design, dialogue and music to illicit an emotional,, sometimes visceral response in the listener.
Sound in film, according to Aza, is never an afterthought. It is an integral component of a great movie. A great director/writer will write a screenplay or shoot a film with this in mind.
Aza’s ongoing collaboration with film director Ivan Kavanagh saw him score and design the acclaimed western ‘Never Grow Old’ and the recently released cult horror classic ‘Son’
