Workshop 1: 10-12pm – Experienced and emerging composers

Creativity on a Deadline.

Workflow for composers, how to manage your productivity and work to a deadline.

When there are 30 or 40 cues to create in a only few weeks, how do we schedule creativity into an efficient workflow? People tell me, “I get really creative as the deadline closes in!” I believe what they mean is they get ‘productive’ as the deadline closes in.

Workshop 2: 1.30pm-3.30pm – Experienced composers.

Why Music? (Spotting, The Temp and Rewrites)

In a time of sophisticated technology in film making, why is music still an indispensable postproductionelement? When films rely upon the audience “suspending disbelief”, why is music, arguably the most artificial element, still irreplaceable? What effect does music have on the most diverse audience in the world—the international movie-going audience?

Workshops supported by BAI Sectoral Development fund and IMRO.
