Ross O’Connor

Ross O’Connor is a Dublin based composer and song writer for stage, film and tv .
He is currently employed in the music preparation department on Fox's "Name That Tune".

Most recently, Ross was composer and song writer on RTE Television's Christmas Panto 'Once Upon A Time at Christmas'. The show aired at prime time on both Christmas Day and New Years' Day This was just after Ross premiered his first musical 'New Fish: A Musical', in Smock Alley theatre to great acclaim, which is currently planning a second run early next year.

In 2014 Ross was selected as a participant in the IMRO/RTE/Filmbase Film scoring program. Scoring the avant-garde silent film ‘The Goblin Market’ (written and directed by Christopher Whiteside and Madeline Graham) to great acclaim and was aired on both RTE and BBC. As part of this program he had the privilege of writing for the ‘RTE Concert Orchestra’.

Ross studied music at The Conservatory of Music and Drama in Dublin. Here he focussed on composing, while honing his skills as a guitarist and piano player. He also spent some time studying Jazz and composition at Newpark School Of Music.

As an orchestrator and arranger, Ross has worked with for PBS, David Foster and Rod Stewart. Arranging and scoring for both orchestra, choir and modern ensembles.
