Alma Kelliher
Alma is an award winning composer, sound designer and musician.
She works across many media including dance, theatre, film, music, circus and live art, always blurring the lines between music and sound design.
Alma has composed for numerous short film projects including Naked Lights (Jeda De Brí for Carbon Comet), The Island (Two Sparks), The Painted Man (Dan Colley for Samson Films), I Am Roger Casement (Dearbhla Walsh and Fearghus Ó Conchúir), Far Calls (Olwen Fouéré and Tristan Heanue) Iar Scolaire (Shaun Dunne), Echo's Bones (Sarah Browne).
She has also been a composer for stage for upwards of ten years and was the composer, musical director and performer in THISISPOPBABY's smash-hit world-touring RIOT and brand new show WAKE. Favourite projects for stage include The Casement Project (Fearghus Ó Conchúir), Once Before I Go (The Gate Theatre), riverrun (Olwen Fouéré - Irish Times Theatre Award winner Best Sound Design), and The Elephantom (National Theatre UK and West End).
Her work as part of The Touching Contract (Sarah Browne and Jesse Jones) has been acquired by IMMA and is now part of The National Collection.
She is an accomplished session musician, singing and/or playing keys for many of Ireland's major acts including Lisa Hannigan, James Vincent McMorrow, Villagers, Sorcha Richardson, The Coronas, and Moncrieff.
She releases solo music as electro-folk act Lux Alma.
