Emer Landers
Emer Landers is an Irish composer who has written music for film, television, and video games and original songs for animation. Inspired by thematic film scores and her love of musical theatre, she writes melodically driven scores ranging in scale from solo piano up to full orchestral works, occasionally infusing them with synth elements. Her recent score for Jason Branagan’s “Forever Hold Your Peace” gained a nomination for Best Score at the 13th Underground Film Awards 2022, and she worked with a team of BAFTA Crew alumni on “Bach is Blue”, which premiered at Latitude Festival in 2021.
She won 3rd Prize at the International Pannonia Film Music Competition in 2020, which resulted in a new orchestral recording of her work “Tales of Love and Triumph” being released across all streaming platforms, and has had her music performed at the National Portrait Gallery in London.
She has written original songs for numerous animation projects, and most recently worked with Wildbrain Spark in 2023. She has contributed to a number of production music albums for West One Music Group, JW Media Music, Little Wren Music, and Atomica Music. She scored a number of video game titles including “Universal Monsters Online”, “Dark Orbit”, “Uridium Wars” for Bigpoint Inc. and “Forge” by Dark Vale Games.
Emer is currently developing her own original musical theatre project which recently received funding from the Arts Council of Ireland. She continues to expand on her professional career internationally and is passionate about collaborating on projects across all genres. She holds an MMus in Composition for Screen from the Royal College of Music alongside a BA in Music from Trinity College Dublin.
