Helen Lynch

 Helen Lynch is a film and video game composer, music designer, and orchestrator. In 2023, Helen contributed to the music team for the film adaptation of ‘Gran Turismo’, alongside The Flight, Joris De Man, Austin Wintory, Jason Graves, and Lena Raine. In 2022, Helen scored ‘Mash-Quito’ developed by Altered Gene, on behalf of ONE, a charity founded by Bono (U2). In addition to serving as a panel judge for the ‘Best Original Video Game Soundtrack’ category at the 2023 Ivor Novello awards, she sits on two of their media councils and is also a member of BAFTA. In 2020, Helen wrote a score for a short film entitled Night Swimming, which was selected for the Montréal Independent Film Festival and also selected and nominated for awards at Los Angeles International Film Festival, Waterford Film Festival, Indie X Film Festival, and more. In 2021, she scored a feature directed by Lee-Loi Chieng, Meeting His Parents, which was screened at film festivals, including Indie Cork, and Dublin International Film Festival. The film won The Rhode Island International Film Festival's 'Alternative Spirit Award'. As a composer, she values close collaboration with game developers and film directors alike, and especially enjoys the innovative use of middleware and game engines to achieve effective and emotive music design.
