Jake Morgan
Jake Morgan is a composer and conductor from Ireland who specialises in creating original music and audio for film, theatre, and video games.
He studied composition and sound design at The Royal Irish Academy of Music and Windmill Lane Studios, Dublin. In 2015/16 he studied ‘Music Production for Games’ in Griffith College and in 2018 he achieved his masters degree from the University of Edinburgh in ‘Composition for Screen’.
Morgan’s concert music has been performed by many orchestras world-wide and his film music has featured in renowned film festivals such as; the Galway Film Fleadh (2018), The Cork Film Festival (2016, 2018), Richard Harris International Film Festival (2014, 2016), the Polish International Film Festival (2016) and the Short Film Corner at Cannes Film Festival (2016).
Following his ‘Conductor-in-training 16/17’ position at the Galway Senior Youth Orchestra, Morgan was appointed the principal conductor of the Edinburgh Film Music Orchestra and became apprentice to specialist film conductor, Cecilia Weston (Moulin Rouge, Love Actually, The Great Gatsby), In 2017/18.
