Jonathan Casey
Jonathan Casey is an award-winning film music composer, songwriter and performing musician.
He has scored the international animated series' ‘Space Chickens In Space’ (Disney EMEA, Ánima Estudios, Studio Moshi, Cake Entertainment, Gingerbread Animation), 'Kiva Can Do' (Kavaleer, Nick Jr, RTE) and Zig & Zag (CBBC, RTE).
He composed the music for the GPO's official centenary commemoration of the 1916 Rising, 'Fire & Steel'. The film with music is on permanent exhibit in the GPO. Subsequently, he scored the music for the historic installation in Ormond Castle, featuring Kila.
He also wrote the music for the feature film STALKER (dir. Mark O'Connor "Cardboard Gangsters"), TIDY (RTE), the documentary film Committing The Truth and many short films.
His music has been performed by orchestras in the US, China, Australia, France and Bulgaria. He composed the orchestral arrangements for De Dannan, on their international concerts with the Dublin Philharmonic Orchestra. He worked with the RTE Concert Orchestra on the score for 'Boy Soldier' on the IMRO Scoring For Film programme.
He has lectured in scoring for animation on the Pulse College MA in Scoring for Film and Visual Media Degree course at Windmill Lane.
