SCGI issue callout for job opportunities for new Bursary fund.

Screen Composers Guild of Ireland are delighted to announce their new Composer Assistant Bursary Award supported by Screen Skills Ireland stakeholder fund.

The bursary scheme is aimed at supporting the development of composer for screen talent in Ireland, create opportunities for career growth and to encourage the building of relationships and capacity in Irish music for screen. It is the first of it’s kind in Ireland.

The scheme can support the creation of six short term composer assistant placements working for a composer attached to a feature or TV series (drama, animation or documentary). We hope through these placements to facilitate on the job learning experiences for emerging composers and offer hiring composers access to skilled support at no extra cost to the production budget .

The bursary award, which is accessed by the assistant composer, contributes to the living expenses of the assistant for a period of up to six weeks to enable them to take the position in an unpaid capacity.
