Screen Composers Guild at the Galway Film Fleadh 2020

The Screen Composers Guild of Ireland are delighted to present The Music of Normal People at this years virtual Galway Film Fleadh.

Following the massive international success of the TV series Normal People, SCGI presents the all Irish music department behind the creation of the original score and placement of songs which formed the soundtrack to this beautiful story. Music is an essential part of the storytelling process, guiding the audience through many of the emotional cues, giving information about the characters, and location, and era of the action. This panel will explore the role of music in Normal People, the different creative and craft roles involved in bringing music to the story, how having an Irish based music department shaped the music, and added to the production and music department capacity in Ireland, when working on larger budget TV and Film projects.
