SCGI member, Composer Roger Doyle made Saoi of Aosdána

Congratulations to SCGI member, composer Roger Doyle who was awarded the gold torc as he became the second composer ever to be elevated to a Saoi of Aosdána. He was presented with his honour by President Michael D Higgins at a recent ceremony. Roger Doyle is also the subject of a feature length documentary on his life and ground breaking work as a composer. ‘The Curious Works of Roger Doyle’ is by director Brian Lally and premiered at the Galway Film Fleadh 2018.
