Screen Composers Guild at the Galway Film Fleadh 2019

The Screen Composers Guild of Ireland are delighted to present a creative workshop event at this years Galway Film Fleadh: The Role of the Composer will be Friday 12th July at 1.30pm in The Galway Rowing Club.

The panel will look at the composer/ director relationship in developing the musical score for a production. It will examine how to brief a composer, budget for music and develope a workflow for delivering the music. Chaired by SCGI CEO Sarah Glennane, the panel will include composer George Brennan and director Mike Ahern from the Fleadh programmed feature Extra Ordinary . Also present will be some of the SCGI members who’s work features in this years Fleadh programme including Steve Lynch composer for the feature film Finky, Jake Morgan composer on documentary Cumar: A Galway Rhapsody and Rod Morris composer on BOJAYÁ: Caught In The Crossfire. The short film section includes work from Stefan French composer on the short film Caitlín and Hugh Rodgers who’s score features on The Ferry.
