Composer Assistant Job Placement opportunity:

Please note: This opportunity is only open to composers who have not previously been the lead composer on an International TV Series in line with the qualifying criteria for SCGI bursary award.

Placement Details

4-6 weeks averaging 20-30hours per week (including training and shadowing hours)

Start Date – immediately

Location – Mix of Remote work with some in person days in composer studio located in East Co. Galway and a recording studio Dublin – (out of pocket travel expenses will be covered).

Associated Production – Composer is delivering original score to international TV series and animated series.

Gear Requirements:

• Mac user preferred.

• Logic and Sibelius.

• Access to good broadband important.

Skills Requirements:

• Proficient in Logic and Sibelius with strong knowledge of Protools an advantage.

• Good orchestration and arrangement skills.

• Strong attention to detail crucial and good appetite to learn.

Typical likely tasks will include:

• Assisting in score prep and creation of midi mock-ups.

• Importing notation into Sibelius

• Assisting with orchestration and arrangements

• Assisting at live recording session.

• Training and shadowing hours will be provided.

This opportunity may lead to additional longer-term employment with composer.
