Composer Assistant Job Placement opportunity:

Please note: This opportunity is only open to composers who have not previously been the lead composer on a children’s animation series in line with the qualifying criteria for SCGI bursary award.

Placement Details

4-6 weeks averaging 16 hours per week (including training and shadowing hours)

Start Date – End of September

Location – Remote

Associated Production – Composer is delivering original score to pre school animated series.

Gear Requirements:

• Protools

• Web camera

• Access to good broadband vital

Skills Requirements:

• Proficient in protools

• Good to proficient arrangement skills

• Must be good communicator, able to work with Children and direct performances.

Typical likely tasks will include:

• Oversee and direct singing/recording sessions

• Compile and edit takes and lay back to pre-recorded backing track

• Mix tracks and add additional instrumentation to backing track if requested. 

This placement will include all necessary training to complete required tasks and will include shadowing hours.
